Retrieval-augmented generation — what comes after Hello World?
During the AWS Summit London we took a closer look at GenAI-based applications — in particular, at how to improve the response quality of models coupled with retrieval-augmented generation.
Agenda
- Brief introduction to generative AI
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- The challenges of retrieval-augmented generation and useful tools/techniques
- Summary
Key topics
- how generative artificial intelligence works;
- what RAG is, how it works, where it’s used and why it’s useful;
- what the most common challenges of retrieval-augmented generation are, along with potential solutions;
- how methods such as reranking, small-to-big retrieval and query rephrasing can increase the response quality of your model;
- how to use tools such as promptfoo and ragas to systematically evaluate results;
- how to build more using GenAI than just an impressive demo.
